The country estate "Lou Mari Camin", your holiday rental in the Var

Between the beaches of the Cote d'Azur and Les Gorges du Verdon our cottage "Le Pigeonnier ****", "Le Bacchus" and the guest room "La Farigoulette", are located 1.5 km away from Ampus in the Var. All of our seasonal rentals are located in the buildings belonging to a former farm originating back to the 18th century, that were completely restored and today look as in original templar farm times.

The estate "Lou Mari Camin"  is located on a property of 3 hectares (30.000 m2), south looking without any neighbours and far away from the main roads. You will still find it close enough to villages like Ampus, where you can find many shops, restaurants and all you need. Only a couple of more minutes away is Draguignan, with an infrastructure of a city of 40.000 inhabitants.

Should you prefer to enjoy a quiet and lazy day by the pool or would you like to find peace and quietness after a day of sports or visits to the French Riviera, our cottage will meet the needs for everybody so you will spend unforgettable holidays in the Var.

A little bit of history

It was in the year 2000 when Monique and Jean-Claude bought this ancient cottage. It was then restored to welcome you in a privileged environment.

In this authentic place, where stone is everywhere, all the materials used to renovate the property are original products from the original times. The cottage even has a belfry with a bell that reminds lunch time at noon. The property as well as the cottage of the 18th century shows its original image of a templar farm within the landscape of the Provence.

All buildings and facilities were built in a traditional Provencal architecture with thick stone walls and reinforcements made out of dry stone. The cottage and the guest room own this unique well feeling and of ancient times, a wonderful place you will smell the odours of the authentically Provence.
